Double Slub Jacket

Different structures and weights of slub cotton are combined within a single garment.

The outer body is constructed from a heavier, denser double-layer slub cotton, while a lighter single-layer slub cotton is used for the inner back panel, underside of the collar, and sleeve plackets.
By varying the weight and construction within the same slub fabric family, subtle differences in density are introduced throughout the garment.

The jacket features genuine horn buttons and a relaxed, drop-shoulder silhouette.
Horizontal seam lines run across both the front and back panels, with the front seams intentionally offset by approximately 5mm, introducing a slight imbalance within an otherwise simple construction.
The chest pocket takes inspiration from the construction of a Type I denim jacket.

The sleeve cuffs are constructed in three layers, combining the heavier double-layer slub outer fabric with a lighter single-layer slub lining.
The edges are left raw to reveal the individual fabric layers and their overlapping structures.
The hem is also finished with a raw edge.
